In approaching the creation of the commissioned illustration for Anne Helen Peterson's article, "How Millennials Became The Burnout Generation," I focused on the emotional and conceptual elements that resonate with the millennial experience of burnout. Ultimately, I didn't want to be too literal, so I played around with different ideas, sketching out concepts that captured the feel without showing every detail.
